CURRICULUM:

180 Days to Save the World . This is a best-selling creative writing curriculum series designed for students in grades 2–12 and currently taught and sold across the United States and Canada. This standards-aligned program guides students through a full school year of meaningful, project-based learning as they plan, write, revise, and self-publish their own creative works. Depending on age and interest, students may produce full fiction novels, short story collections, children’s picture books, or graphic novels, gaining authentic experience in storytelling, critical thinking, and long-term project management.

The Encephalon Code - Level(s) 1-3  Memory Workbooks. A workbook guide to study smarter, recall facts easily, read up to 2x faster, easily master a new language in record time, expand vocabulary and get better grades with less effort.

The Passport Project Workbook. Based on the bestselling nonfiction book, this curriculum transforms global learning into an immersive, standards-aligned experience for middle school students. Students explore geography, culture, and real-world perspectives in a way that feels meaningful and memorable.

FICTION:

Remy & Finn: Mishap in the Meadow. This children's picture book featuring Remy the wolf and her best friend Finn the fox is full of adventure, lessons, and a little bit of mischief.

The Seed. A short story allegory about survival, sacrifice, and salvation. Currently published in the 180 Days Short Story curriculum workbook.

A Colonial Kidnapping: When 10-year-old Emma inherits an antique cedar chest from her late Great Aunt Stella, she expects treasures from the past—not a gateway to it. Inside, she finds a collection of costumes and cryptic letters addressed to her. But when Emma tries on one of the outfits, she and her pet fox, Galileo, are suddenly whisked away to historic James Fort.  Plunged into the dangerous crossroads of history, Emma meets the legendary Pocahontas and quickly becomes entangled in the escalating conflict between the two groups. Time is running out for Emma and Galileo to escape before they alter history—or worse, become a permanent part of it.

About Jane Garrett

Background

Jane Garrett is the pen name of Sarah Reid, a homeschool mom and private educator with over 21 years of experience. As a business owner and longtime homeschool educator, creating and publishing creative curriculum represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. In her spare time, she intentionally writes fiction outside her preferred genres, a practice that sharpens her ability to design curriculum that addresses the real challenges students face rather than simply showcasing her own expertise.

Education

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona Global Campus and her master’s degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University.
